Huipiles of Guatemala: Heritage and Tradition

From 6-7:30 pm Thursday, Jan. 18, representatives from Friendship Bridge will explain the symbolism in traditional Guatemalan blouses that provides us insight into the daily lives of the indigenous Maya and what they have experienced as a marginalized people. Friendship Bridge is a Colorado-based organization in Lakewood that offers small loans to low-income women in Guatemala.
