Global Adventures – Nepal and Himalayan Adventures

Kumar Karakheti, a Fort Collins resident and native of Nepal, will present Nepal and Himalayan Adventures at 6 pm at the Jan. 11, 2024 meeting of Global Adventures.  Karakheti comes from a small village in Nepal and has lived in Fort Collins since 2007.  He has trekked 65 times to Everest Base Camp and is the owner of Journeys, LLC, a company that specializes in custom expeditions in the Himalayas.  Karakheti will also review his country’s history, culture, and people.  The Museum’s gift shop will have items for purchase from Nepal, including blankets made from the wool of yaks, woolen hats and gloves, scarves, and singing bowls.
