Position Title: Outreach and Marketing Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director of the Global Village Museum of Arts and Culture
Employment Type: Part time hourly position for approximately 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling to include hours of Museum operation and as needed to cover events, programs, meetings.
Wage: $19.00 per hour with possible increase to $20.00 per hour after 12 weeks of successful employment.

Job Summary: Responsible for planning and overseeing museum-wide strategic communications to increase public awareness and involvement. Develops and manages communications, outreach activities, and sponsorships as well as coordinating efforts with exhibitions, public engagement, and membership. Develop and implement campaigns to increase the organization’s visibility, visitor engagement, donation efforts, and membership. Represent Museum at community events and make presentations to community groups. Is a key staff representative to initiate, nurture and maintain collaborative relationships and endeavors with many entities in the community including CSU. Procure/develop and lead informational and educational programs, events, and activities that further the mission of the Museum for people of all ages and interests. Support and work with volunteers to develop new and implement a comprehensive range of educational programs with Poudre R1 and other schools and educational entities. Ensure programs are inclusive, accessible, and cater to diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds. Assess existing and work with others to develop new educational materials following best museum practices that align with local and state curriculum standards. Interacts with volunteers and Board members. Works as part of a team to maintain the Museum in a pleasant as well as safe and sanitary condition, assist with exhibits when needed, assist with cleaning and maintenance, and other tasks as necessary.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
College level education in arts, culture, education, museum studies or a related field. A proven record in marketing, communications, and project coordination, with a passion for promoting cultural heritage and diversity. Imaginative, creative. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Working for a not-for-profit organization, the applicant must excel in a fast-evolving environment, working effectively and independently while collaborating with the team including external partners and stakeholders. Must be able to write, edit, and coordinate content for the Museum including website, social media, newsletters and other assets to effectively reach and engage with the target audience. Maintain database of resources and contacts. Familiarity with graphic design and web development/analytic software, experience with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Microsoft Publisher, WordPress, and others. Strong attention to detail, good writing and editing skills, problem solving abilities.
