Due to sold-out tickets on August 31, Sacred Lakota Ways: Mitakuye Oyasin will be shared in encore presentations on Saturday, Sept. 14. From 1-3 pm, Jennifer Black Elk, daughter of world-renowned Lakota Elder and Spiritual Teacher Wallace Black Elk, will outline the depth and meaning of Mitakuye Oyasin, which reflects the Lakota belief in the interconnectedness and harmony between all forms of life. Jennifer will be joined by her daughter and granddaughter, who are also wisdom-keepers of the Lakota ways carried through generations of the Black Elk family. This will lay the foundation for drumming, singing, and traditional knowledge-sharing by Jennifer’s son, Kari Black Elk, from 6-8 pm. The registration price of $10 per person is for one or both presentations.
