Andrew Wegoye, founder of Hornbill Treks & Safaris based in Kampala, Uganda, will outline the country’s unspoiled nature, massive wildlife reserves, and incredible landscapes. Since 2017, the African-born and family-owned company has carefully crafted life-changing journeys that take travelers to the heart of the continent’s remote wilderness and vibrant cultures. Hornbill Treks & Safaris is also committed to supporting the local environment and communities. Tickets to the presentation are $10 per person, and advance reservations are requested. The presentation is hosted by the Museum’s travel partner, Sari Gartner with Outdoor Travel Adventures, in coordination with the Museum’s Global Adventures club. The Global Adventures club, led by Daniel and Alice Owen, is an interesting and interactive forum to learn and share information about the world and the many opportunities to discover, explore, and protect it. The Museum’s doors will open at 5 pm, and Ugandan items will be available for purchase in the Museum’s gift shop. Refreshments, including wine, will be served.
