Take a step back in time and witness the historic process of tintype photography. Originating in the 1850s, wet plate collodion uses a process where an image is created directly on a coated plate while it is still wet. Tintypes are taken on metal, producing a one-of-a-kind image with a timeless quality. Join local couple Chad and Richelle Shryock from PorkPie Photography for a unique photography experience. Sign up for an individual or couple’s portrait session and experience the tintype photography process firsthand. Watch your portrait come to life as the final chemicals are added during the overall process, transforming the image from a negative into a positive. Each session takes 10 minutes and you will receive your final photograph within a week!
