Oct. 28 – The Australian Didgeridoo: One Awesome Instrument

An encore of The Australian Didgeridoo:  One Awesome Instrument will be presented from 1:30-3 pm Saturday, Oct. 28.  Doug Powell, a didgeridoo maker and player in Fort Collins, will survey the history and use of the instrument among the Aboriginal people.  In addition to performing for the audience, Powell will address traditional vs. modern construction methods and materials, the contrast between traditional and western playing, the varying sounds of the didgeridoo, and didgeridoo breathing techniques.  He will also bring his didgeridoo collection for audience members to try out.  Advance reservations are required, and refreshments will be served
