Finding a Home for Your Treasures

When individuals downsize their home or – sadly – pass away, their cherished possessions should continue to be appreciated and create meaning.  Too often, however, these special items are sold or auctioned without proper care and consideration.   To help solve this dilemma, Finding a Home for Your Treasures will be presented from 6-7:30 pm Thursday, August 8, by Jeff Boulter, who helped settle the estate of John Roberts and many relatives.  Boulter will address the safekeeping of meaningful belongings, antiques, and heirlooms.  “Many people have treasured collectibles and valuable art they have accumulated in a lifetime of adventure and travel,” he said.  “Yet family and friends may have little interest in these items.  So what can you do?”  Boulter will offer tips and provide a packet of information about estate planning.  Boulter will also explain how donating valuable art and keepsakes to the Global Village Museum can be a perfect solution.
