Sugar Skulls and Bread of the Dead: Understanding Día de los Muertos

Sugar Skulls and Bread of the Dead:  Understanding Día de los Muertos will be presented from 2-4 pm Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.

Christopher Muscato, Adjunct Faculty in the Department of History at the University of Northern Colorado, will trace the history of the holiday from its role in the Aztec Empire to its place in modern Mexico.  Admission to the program is $5/person and includes entry into the Museum’s four galleries.  In the Museum’s Main Gallery, Day of the Dead ~ Día de los Muertos showcases community altars from Northern Colorado residents and organizations.
