Fort Collins Gallery – Hall Gallery Opens
September 1 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Opening of Hall Exhibit
Bringing Turkey’s wonders to the West, Life in Istanbul ~ Village of Millions will showcase the vibrant and colorful paintings of Gabrielle “Gabby” Reeves, a native of Casper, Wyoming. Reeves moved to Istanbul in 2011 after receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Wyoming. Working primarily in oil and watercolor, Reeves vividly captures the stratified and surreal nature of life in Istanbul and the life of the city itself. Reeves’ paintings using multiple media are often representations of an Istanbul fading away due to development and urban sprawl.
Crispy Watkins & River
Crispy and River will sing from 6 – 8 on the patio (weather permitting).
“What happens when Appalachia meet the Rockies? Crispy Watkins and River answer the question with sweet harmonies and rhythmic original mountain tunes that search the depths of the human soul. They have taken their banjo, guitar, and voices across the country and the world, most recently living and performing in China. Now based in Fort Collins, they continue to draw inspiration from the natural world, heartfelt spirituality, and the myriad of injustices that our world faces today. Be ready to laugh, cry, sing, and feel a little more of everything with the stylings of this heartfelt duo.”
